I still linger here wtf.

If you're a loyal reader of this blog and were disappointed by the lack of explicit content on my new blog, all I can say for now is... I don't have the time to think about which direction that blog should go yet. Fictional or not, I do have a lot to write about given the lifestyle I am living now, but starting is just hard as fuck— you know how humans tend to set ridiculously high standards for themselves when they start something new?

So yeah. Till then, I'm back here rambling about the vanilla parts of my life.
2015 is almost over, and I just realized that I didn't write any post to reminisce about 2014.
Hopefully, the confessions I couldn't make can soon be made. Before 2015 comes to an end.

That's the whole point of running a blog, hmm? For me at least.

Happy birthday WSK ♥

Note: So below is what I posted on Facebook but slightly modified, you may skip this one if you've read the post.

I think I have never publicly expressed how grateful I am to have WSK in my life, and today it just feels like I should have done so already, so here goes.

WSK and I are not a conventional couple. We almost never do romantic cheesy stuff most couples do. We have our own circles of people we hang out with and we don’t report to each other our whereabouts. We don’t text unless it’s necessary. Heck, we don’t even talk on the phone or send each other more than 10 texts when we don’t see each other for 5 days. We live together, but we don’t interact a lot as we both need a lot of "me" time doing our own things. We don’t share with each other how our day has been as we just don’t find small talks appealing. When we fail to find a show or a movie both of us will enjoy watching, most of the time we would just part ways and watch whatever the hell each of us want to watch, separately. When I’m occasionally an unreasonable crazy bitch he would tell me he doesn’t have patience for this shit and walk away. (Although for argument's sake, he is usually the reason why my crazy bitch alter-ego gets released.) We’re cruelly blatant to each other, sometimes mean even.

Moving on

I guess I can now say with certainty that my life has entered a distinctively new phase, hence as much as I wish to continue blogging here, it just doesn't feel right anymore. I thought about remodeling the theme and whatnot, but since I put in so much effort the previous time I did so and I really still love it, I am moving to another web space with more privacy to post my pseudorealistic stories.

Ask me for the URL if you're keen!

InterTWINed

Written by ShihYuin Chew to commemorate our friendship, as a belated gift to my 24th birthday:

There have been countless times lately that after she shared her stories, I framed my empathetic speculation which perfectly described how she was feeling, only to realize those words would describe me just as accurately. Though remotely a fresh thing to know, I'd actually almost forgotten how close we're in terms of life philosophy, values and attitude— so close that it once got a bit boring to chat— ever since I left Madison three years ago and she remained there.

Back with backlogged photos!

I just checked the date of my last post and wow, it has been exactly 6 months since I last updated this blog. I think this is the longest hiatus I have ever taken since I started blogging here. Ironically, it was not because nothing was going on in my life and that I had nothing to blog about; it was the exact opposite.

SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED. So many big changes and new people in my life. So many places I have explored— literally and figuratively. But only so little I can blog about.

Anyway, over the years I have learned that the easiest (laziest) way to resume blogging is by throwing out all the backlogged photos. So I am going to do exactly that... in chronological order and without caption :P

Short Stack Eatery

If you follow me on Instagram, you'd probably have noticed that we go to this place very often!

Short Stack Eatery serves breakfast only, and is open about 88 hours straight every week, from 7 a.m. Thursdays until 11 p.m. Sundays (closed Monday through Wednesday). All of their dishes are made from scratch with fresh, organic, and local ingredients. They work with a variety of purveyors from Wisconsin to source the best products possible. They have visited factories and farms in order to understand where our food comes from and build lasting relationships with farmers in the great state of Wisconsin. They also offer tasty gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options!

Cruise trip to Bahamas

After our short stay at Miami, we boarded Norwegian Sky and started our 5-day-4-night cruise trip! (in 2013)

Short stay at Miami

Yay! First blog post in 2015, and it's about a vacation that happened in 2013. ☉_☉

To be honest, our overnight stay in Miami before we went on our cruise trip to Bahamas turned out unnecessary and undesired. Lesson learned— that we should never ever rely on or expect from people whom we are not their priorities. Your close ones' close ones have no obligation towards you.

This is how the story went. At first Kit and I planned to fly to Miami and straightaway head to the port to board the cruise, but Kylie suggested that we arrive a day earlier to hang out with her and her boyfriend at the time, since he'd be doing internship in Florida and she'd fly there to spend a week with him. She said they could pick us up at the airport, help us find a hotel nearby, then drive to the beach, stuff like that. We didn't really know her then boyfriend, but she seemed very passionate about the one-day double-dating thing and the plan sounded doable, so we went ahead and booked our flight to arrive at Miami a day before our cruise trip.
