Berries and breakfast

(summer, 2012)

Spotted on our way to Mickies

Look what I found!

Ripe ones picked up off the ground. So delish!

Strawberries pancake. The berries bled on my fingers.

That was the last time I went to Mickies Dairy Bar. It's a 1950s style diner opened in 1946 by Mickey Weidman, well known for its breakfast selections, especially the Scrambler (large mound of potatoes, eggs, cheese, gravy, and a patrons' choice of other toppings). Rudy and I used to go there a lot on weekends after pulling an all-nighter at Engineering Hall. Ahh, good old times.
